Southern Cross Container & Trading

Southern Cross Container & Trading (SCCT ™) was established in 1993 as an engineering service company to provide for the ever increasing quality assurance demands of corporations purchasing maritime cargo containers in The Peoples Republic of China and Southeast Asia.  

SCCT's founder, Mr. Peter R. Cabrey, has been an executive in the Maritime Container Industry since 1972 and has resided in Asia for more than twenty years.  Prior to SCCT, Mr. Cabrey was Manager of Operations for SSI/ITEL Container Corp., from 1975 to 1982, and Director of Technical Services for Trans Ocean Leasing (TOL) from 1982 to 1993.

As a former member of the International Institute of Container Lessors (IICL), Mr. Cabrey has been instrumental throughout his career in helping to create international policy for maritime container design, construction, and maintenance & repair.  As an equipment buyer and engineering specialist, he recognized the critical need to establish a program of continuous quality improvement for container factories located in this developing region of the world.
